I Hold a Massive Amount of Pride. This has Helped my Reputation.

This is sometimes a problem, because pride is associated with thinking you are the best. I know I am not the best, but I have pride in everything I do. I want to do it as best that I can, the first time, every time.

I have found that this currency is easy to trade. When I was a HVAC technician, restaurants knew they could be 100% confident in the work. When I started working in other ad agencies, I often noticed reviews would mention me specifically, and have great things to say, even when I worked in one of the worst agencies I have ever seen.

Why does Reputation Matter?

If you have a keen eye, you may have noticed one of these reviews mentioned they would refer me to anyone who wanted a mentor. This helped me build trust within a market, where I know I could reach out to any previous clients, and if they had anyone qualified, I could ask for a referal.

It also makes my churn incredibly low. When someone accepts a free trial with me, I know they are very likely to continue working with me for months or years.

What Should you do For Your Business?

Well, start posting on social media. Even if it does not generate results, when you google your business or your name you want something to pop up.

This process makes trust increase, because it shows you are real.

Additionally, strive to give an amazing experience to every customer. If they love working with you, they will come back. If they have great results, they will never leave.

Reputation is everything. Have some pride in what you do.
